国际语言与文化学院简介

国际语言与文化学院是北京教育学院为适应国际化教育形势的发展,于 2007 年底成立的集教学、科研、培训、管理、国际交流和服务于一体的综合性二级学院。国际语言与文化学院下设外语系、对外汉语系两个教学系和行政办公室、教学办公室、外事综合办公室三个管理部门。国际语言与文化学院的发展目标确定为:把学院建成视野开阔,思想引领,智慧融合,服务精致,价值卓越的教学、科研、服务、国际交流与合作的实体。

Faculty of International Language and Culture was founded in late 2007 by Beijing Institute of Education to meet the needs of international educational development trends. It is a comprehensive faculty with teaching, scientific research, training, administration, international exchanges and service combined into one. Faculty of International Language and Culture is composed of Department of Foreign Languages, and Department of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language  Office of Administrative Affairs, Office of Academic Affairs and Office of Foreign Affairs..  Its development goal is to develop the faculty into an entity of teaching, scientific research, international exchanges and cooperation guided by the principle of “broad-vision, advanced ideas, high-quality service and excellent values.”

学历教育是国际语言文化学院重点工作之一。自1978年开设英语专科班,1990年开始开设英语专升本科班。国际语言与文化学院外语系目前下设专升本英语(英语教育)和专升本英语(商务方向)两个专业方向,2008年英语专升本学历教育共有20个班656名学员。授课教师均由具有硕士研究生以上学历的教师任教,同时还开设俄语、日语两种第二外语,并聘请有长期的外籍专家。本着质量为重、学员为先的教育原则,我院教师组成备课小组,认真研究学员,根据他们的水平和需求以及国家对本科生的相应要求为他们挑选合适的教材,采取灵活的教法,帮助学员在三年的学习中提高语言实践能力、英语教育能力及综合素质。

Qualification education is one of the priorities of Faculty of International Language and Culture Studies. The Faculty began to offer junior college programs in 1978 and college programs in 1990. Department of Foreign Languages in Faculty of International Language and Culture offers two majors of English programs, one is English Education, and the other is Business English. In 2008, the department has a total of 656 students in 20 classes. It has a strong teaching contingent, all of whom, including foreign teachers, have maters’ and higher degrees. It offers Japanese and Russian as the second language. Following the educational principle of “quality as the focus and students as the center”, the teaching staff form different lesson planning groups to adapt their teaching to students’ needs and to the requirements put forward by the State Ministry of Education for college graduates. Tailored teaching materials and methodology help students improve their practical language abilities, English teaching abilities and their comprehensive qualities.

北京教育学院国际语言与文化学院外语系还承担了全北京市中小学英语教师继续教育的培训任务。自2004年以来承担了多个重大英语教师继续教育培训项目。其中绿色耕耘远郊区县小学英语教师全员培训项目,是首都教育发展的重点任务之一,主要宗旨是加强农村教育工作,缩小城乡教育差距。此项目从2004年开始至今已经5年了,我们分层次对远郊区县小学英语教师进行语言水平与教学能力强化全员培训和骨干教师培训。共培训农村中小学英语教师3000余人。

Department of Foreign Languages also takes on training programs for continuing education of primary and secondary school English teachers in Beijing . Since 2004, it has undertaken several major training programs for continuing education of English teachers, among which “Green Cultivation” training program aimed at all the primary English teachers in rural Beijing . With the purpose of “Strengthening rural education and narrowing the gap between urban and rural educations”, “Green Cultivation” program is a priority on capital Beijing ’s educational agenda. Since 2004, Department of Foreign Languages has trained over 3000 primary and secondary school English teachers in Beijing as a result of training-for-all and backbone teachers training programs focused on raising teachers’ language competence and teaching abilities.

此项目还与英国使馆文化处合作,培训了远郊区县小学英语骨干教师三年共计600人,培训分为4个阶段,即英语语言水平和教学技能全英文封闭式培训;选拔优秀教师,赴英国进行为期4周的培训者培训;英方专家跟踪辅导;指导小学英语师资培训者在各自区县开展小学英语师资培训。其目的是不仅使参加培训的学员成为高素质的小学英语教师,更要使其中的佼佼者成为出色的师资培训教师。

 In cooperation with British Council, Department of Foreign Languages has trained 600 primary school backbone teachers through “Green Cultivation” program over the past three years. The cooperative “Green Cultivation” program has four stages, including English language and teaching skills training conducted in total immersion, Four-week trainer-training in Britain for selected excellent teachers, follow-up classroom-visit and guidance by British experts and guided teacher- training conducted by excellent trained primary teachers in their own districts. This helps turn trainees into excellent teachers, even excellent teacher trainers.

绿色耕耘行动计划得到了北京市市委书记刘淇同志高度赞扬,他还亲笔题词号召走绿色耕耘之路。

Mr. Liu Qi, Party Secretary of Beijing Municipality , has written positive comments about “Green Cultivation” program for its achievements and called on other educational institutions to learn from “Green Cultivation” program.

在绿色耕耘项目取得巨大成功的同时,我院外语系于20062007连续两年承担了北京城区中学英语教师的培训,即:春风化雨行动计划。此次培训共培训九个城区120名初中重点建设校的英语教研组组长及骨干教师。春风化雨行动计划旨在缩小校际差距,实现北京市教育均衡发展。使这些教研组组长和骨干教师在新课程的改革中发挥骨干带头作用。

In 2006 and 2007, Department of Foreign Languages undertook “Spring Wind and Rain” program for training junior high school English teachers in urban areas of Beijing and trained 120 backbone teachers and leaders of English teaching and research groups for junior high schools in nine urban districts. “Spring Wind and Rain” program aims at narrowing the gap between schools to realize balanced educational development in Beijing by training the backbone teachers and leaders of English teaching and research groups to play a leading role in the curriculum reform.

远郊区县小学英语教师培训项目组成功地进行了十个郊区县小学英语教师教学设计大奖赛,充分展示了远郊区县小学英语教师的风采。

Rural primary school English teacher training program team successfully held an Instructional Design Contest for English teachers in 10 rural areas, which provided a platform for rural teachers to fully display their talents.

2008120 ,奥运会开幕倒计时200天之际,我们又举办了十一个远郊区县 心系奥运·相约明天绿色耕耘希望杯中学英语教师口语大奖赛在北京教育学院举行。600多名初中英语教师绿色耕耘培训班学员通过初赛、复赛以及半决赛的筛选,最终有14名选手进入决赛。决赛经过已备演讲、即席演讲和才艺展示,最终决出了冠军、亚军、季军及一等奖8名。大奖赛得到了北京奥组委、中共北京市委教育工作委员会、北京市教委以及北京教育学院领导的高度赞扬。并且得到了各区县培训基地以及广大学员的热烈欢迎。

On January 20th, 2008, 200 days before the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games, an English speech contest Olympic Games and Me ‘Hope Cup’ between English teachers in secondary schools from eleven rural districts was held in Beijing Institute of Education. 14 out of over 600 English teachers from junior high schools that trained in “Green Cultivation” program came into the final contest after three rounds of competition. After three rounds of competition of prepared speech, impromptu speech and talent show, top eight winners including the champion, the second and the third place winner were chosen by judges from leading universities and English Educational institutions. The speech contest was spoken highly of by leaders from Beijing Olympic Committee, Beijing Educational Committee of Communist Party of China, Beijing Municipal Educational Commission, and Beijing Institute of Education, and it was warmly welcomed by all the training bases as well as the trainees.

2007523 ,在北京教育学院报告厅组织了主题为:“唱响北京,志愿奥运---首都名师祝福2008”大型英文演唱活动。参加北京市中小学骨干教师高级研修班100多名英语教师与来自美国的著名音乐人Mark Tedder乐团共同用歌声为2008北京奥运会送上了诚挚的祝福。

A big English concert themed “Best Wishes from Beijing distinguished English teachers to Beijing Olympics” was organized in the report hall of Beijing Institute of Education on May 23rd, 2007. More than 100 backbone English teachers from primary and secondary schools in Beijing , who received education in the advanced training program, sent their best wishes to 2008 Beijing Olympics along with the famous band Mark Tdder from USA by singing Olympic songs together.

2006-2008年国际语言与文化学院王松美院长作为项目负责人,对全北京市12各学科近2000名市级学科带头人和市级骨干教师进行了培训,其中英语教师260多名。这个项目的宗旨是有效地提升这些市级骨干教师的教育思想和教学经验,打造一支北京市名师队伍,带动全市教师队伍素质的提高。

Led by professor Wang Songmei, dean of Faculty of International Language and Culture, the training program team has trained around 2, 000 leading teachers and backbone teachers from Beijing , including 260 English teachers. The training program aims to effectively upgrade the educational thoughts and teaching experience of those backbone teachers at the municipal level, and establish a team of master teachers to bring along all the teachers in Beijing .

为了把这些优秀教师的优秀教学思想和成功的教学经验辐射全北京市乃至全国,我们举办了百位名师走进房山、顺义、门头沟边远山区等大型活动,并且摄制了百节名师风采课。举办了名师论坛。在北京市取得了不同凡响的效果。

Around 100 master teachers were invited to Beijing ’s rural districts, Fangshan, Shunyi and Mentougou to spread their good teaching ideas and successful teaching experience across Beijing and even the entire country. Besides, 100 demonstration lessons given by master teachers were videotaped and seminars were held, which had a sensational influence. 

我们的培训项目整合了北京市一批优质教育教学资源,参与培训的不仅有本院的教师,而且聘请了清华大学、北京大学、北京外国语大学等研究小学英语教学模式以及参加新课标小学英语教材编写的教授,外籍专家,小学英语教学一线特级、高级教师,区县教研员等,组成了力量雄厚的培训团队。

The training programs integrate many good quality educational and teaching resources. The training team an influential one, comprises teachers from the Faculty of International Language and Culture, professors from leading universities like Tsinghua University, Beijing University, and Beijing Foreign Studies University, foreign experts, primary school excellent and master English teachers who have done much research on English teaching modes in primary schools or written national curriculum standards based primary school English text books.

在过去的几年中,我院的继续教育去了了辉煌的成绩,新的一年即将开始,我们需要不断的拓宽培训渠道,更新培训模式。我们期待着与世界各国的教育工作者合作,加强国际合作,使北京市中小学英语教师具有国际视野,从而使北京的教育走在国际的最前列。

Over the past few years, the Faculty has made a significant progress in continuing education. It is necessary for the Faculty to constantly find new training channels and innovate the training modes in the coming years. The Faculty is expecting to cooperate with educators from any nation and strengthen the international exchange so that English teachers from primary and secondary teachers in Beijing can have an international vision, which can keep education in Beijing at the forefront of the world.

1998年成立留学生部并获得留学生招生资质至今,我院的留学生培训工作已有十年的发展历史。十年来,本着敬业、专业.服务、效率的理念,努力开拓国际教育市场,对外汉语培训事业从无到有,从小到大,从单一管理到多元教学,汉语项目逐年递增。2005年与澳大利亚西澳大学签定三年合作协议;2006年开发了日本长崎项目;2007年得到国家汉办资助并在法国汉语教师协会的大力支持下,开始培训法国汉语教师,同时接收法国中学生进行短期汉语培训;2008年又在积极争取国家汉办资助马来西亚汉语督学培训班和汉语教师培训班。

春秋季小班生源从泰国、韩国等国家发展到俄罗斯、蒙古、澳大利亚、尼泊尔、埃及、日本等十多个国家。培训人数也不断扩大,从早期每年100人发展到现在每年400人左右。对外汉语教学经过十年的探索,不断提高教学质量和办学规模,形成了自己的办学特色。坚持小班教学,教学以学生为中心,以发展语言实际应用能力为中心,按照学生的不同需求,量身定做各种项目课程,课程体系灵活、实用。

It has been ten years since the Department of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language was established and qualified to admit and train overseas students in 1998. However, adhering to the training principle of “dedication, profession, service, efficiency”, the Department of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, starting from scratch, has been expanding its international market, increasing the number of training programs annually, and innovating the teaching modes from single management to multiple-way teaching over the past ten years. In 2005, the department signed a three-year working agreement with the University of Western Australia in Australia; it developed a cooperation program with Nagasaki University in Japan in 2006; it began to train teachers of Chinese from France and enroll French secondary school students to receive short-term Chinese language training in 2007, supported by the Office of Chinese Language Council International and the French Chinese-language Teachers Association; it is seeking for the financial support from the Office of Chinese Language Council International to back the Chinese language training courses for the Malaysian school inspectors and teachers in 2008.

The student sources of the spring or autumn training courses have expanded from Thailand and South Korea to more than ten countries including Russia , Mongolia , Australia , Nepal , Egypt and Japan . The annual number of trainees has been increasing from 100 to the current 400. The department of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language has formed its own distinctive teaching and training styles by constantly improving the teaching quality and enlarging the training scope since 1998. Specifically, based on the actual needs of different students, it sticks to offering small-class, student-centered, practice-based courses within practical and flexible curriculum system.

  在对留学生进行汉语培训的过程中,除了完成正常的汉语教学课程之外,我们还努力创新文化课程,丰富培训生活,将汉语教学与中国文化的传播紧密结合起来。一方面,给留学生开设太极拳、书法和剪纸等带有鲜明中华文化色彩的文化课程,另一方面,组织留学生参观北京的名胜古迹,攀登长城,参观故宫、颐和园,欣赏老舍茶馆,走访中国的百姓,走进中国家庭。

此外,还利用北京的文化环境、语言环境,将语言学习与文化、游览活动有机结合,发展出后海语言实践等备受欢迎的语言实践活动,极大调动学生学习汉语、使用汉语的热情和积极性。语言培训与欣赏、传播中国文化的有机结合,不仅锻炼了留学生语言交流能力,而且加深了他们对中国民间生活、风土人情的了解。

In addition to the regular Chinese language teaching related courses, the department innovates and offers some Chinese culture related courses to enrich the Chinese language training as well as spreading the Chinese culture. On the one hand, it opens courses with typical Chinese characteristics, for example, Taiji, Chinese calligraphy and Chinese paper cutting. On the other hand, it organizes foreign students to visit places of interests in Beijing , including the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace and Laoshe Teahouse, interview the common people and walk into Beijingners’ life. Furthermore, by utilizing the linguistic and cultural environment, it develops a series of language practice activities, such as “Houhai Language Practice Activity” that organically integrates the Chinese language learning, Chinese culture experiencing, and visiting opportunities. These activities lighten students’ passion in learning and using the Chinese language, improve their communicative ability, and deepen their understanding of the life and customs of the Chinese people.
